Bravais armchair

This armchair is made from corrugated cardboard from a local factory (local to the designers in England, that is) that makes recycled paper products using the same machinery they’ve had since 1910. The shape was inspired by natural forms like wasp nests and microscopic radiolaria, and designed to best utilize the strength of the cardboard. Part of a collection of furnture made by furniture designer Liam Hopkins and artist Richard Sweeney at Lazerian Studio in Manchester.
